1) What is the Kojiki?

2)  What is the Amenonuhoko?

3) Tell me the names of the eight islands of Japan born from Izanagi and Izanami.

4) What is the name of the small white island created from a drop of salted water?

5) What did the two Deities build in the centre of the Island?

6) What's the name of the first two sons of the couple?

7) Why the first sons were not well-made?

8) Why Izanami got angry with Izanagi in the land of the dead?

9) According to the legend, how many people die and how many children born everyday?

10) In which way the little old man escape?

Essay questions: (5 points each)

1) Part of the legend of Izanagi and Izanami presents some similarities with the Greek legend of Orpheus and Eurydice. Can you tell me these similarities? What is according to you the biggest difference?

2) In the lessons why talked a bit about the Yomi, the land of the dead. Find some other informations not said in the lesson about this place.

 

EXTRA CREDITS

The Kojiki is divided into three parts: Kamitsumaki ("upper roll"), Nakatsumaki ( "middle roll"), and Shimotsumaki ("lower roll").

For 30 points, searching on Internet or on books, tell me what each of this three parts talk about. Then choose another story from the kojiki (of course not mentioned in the lesson) and tell it to me with your own words, saying also from which part of the Kojiki is taken.
Be complete and detailed.

Minimum of 300 words, but remember that more you will be precise and complete and more you will earn.

Please, no copy and paste from internet. If i will notice you will have only copied and paste from Internet, the work could also be the best in the world but it won’t give you full points.
